Staying Connected – 3/24/20
Below are a few reminders that will help you stay connected during this time of physical distance and isolation.
Compassion In Action
While we have all been advised to stay indoors as much as possible, there are still reasons we need to go out. Groceries, medication, bills, banks, etc. Some members of SCRC have volunteered to go out on behalf of those who are more susceptible to the impact of the virus. If you would like someone to run errands for you, please contact Pastor Peter (616-450-9774) and he will arrange it for you.
Sunday Worship
This Sunday we continued to explore the theme of compassion as we “Listen for God’s P.U.L.S.E.” The “U” stands for understanding empathically. You can listen to the songs, prayers, Scripture, and sermon from this week here.
Dwell Digital
If you would like some Biblical resources to have some spiritual conversations with your children, we have permission to make our Dwell curriculum available to parents. All you have to do is email Pastor Peter (petertewinkle@gmail.com) and he will add you to the list. You will receive an invitation and it will give you access to the various age groups and lessons.
Hand 2 Hand
Please remember that SCRC has established a Hand 2 Hand Fund. Through the generous support of congregation and community members alike, we are able to lend a hand to those struggling to make ends meet or get through a difficult time. We expect more people will fall into these categories over the next few weeks. This is how we can reach out.
Virtual Bible Study
Our text for this Sunday is Luke 19:1-10. It’s the familiar story of Zacchaeus and the sycamore tree. We’ll be using it to explore the benefits of “loving with connection.” Please join the “St. Croix Reformed Church – Virtual Bible Study” Facebook group and participate in the discussion!
