Contemplative Circles
You’re invited to gather with Pastor Peter around the selected Scripture passage for the week and meditate on its meaning for us as a congregation to dig deeper into the meaning of the week’s text (or ask Pastor Peter what in the world he was talking about on Sunday!). You’re invited to join the circle on Wednesdays at 12:00 pm or Fridays at 10:15 am. Starts this week!
Grill on the Hill
No, it’s not a new event. It’s the same gathering with the same good people. The grill will be lit at 5:30 pm. Games will be in the yard. As the sun sets, we’ll light the fire and roast some marshmallows. You’ve been invited to pray about the following questions: “God, who are you sending us to? What are you up to? What is the good news we have to share?” Bring a dish to pass or something to cook up to the hill on Saturday, February 9th.

Join us for a spaghetti dinner, live music by the Brian McCullough Band, raffle prizes, and silent auction. Tickets are on sale for $20. Our fundraising efforts will go to support the church’s new Hand 2 Hand Fund which will offer loving assistance to our neighbors in need.
Tonight: Jazz Vespers
Join us on Sunday, February 3rd at 5:30 pm for another Jazz Vespers event. This month’s gathering will feature the musical talents of Jeff Dawson and Mario Thomas. We’ll be celebrating Black History Month with poems and prayers from some of history’s brightest heroes.
Sermon On the Mount.
Some members of the congregation and community have been gathering to study the Sermon On the Mount. We’ll be listening to Jesus’ famous sermon in worship for the next two weeks as well. In the meantime, here are some of Pastor Peter’s recent reflections:

Join us Sunday, January 27th for Pastor Peter’s Installation
Pastor Peter has been serving SCRC for over a year and it’s finally time to make it officially official. The Classis of NY has approved his call. Pastor Peter has traveled to NYC for an official welcome, the only step remaining is to host a service of installation. Please plan to celebrate together on Sunday, January 27th.
